Roller Derby Clinic!

The Yellow Rose Derby Girls are pleased to announce our own Houston-Area derby clinic with the fantastic Baller Shot Caller!

Baller is bringing her expertise to a 4-hour bootcamp experience at YRDG’s practice facility, P8 Sportsplex in Houston, Texas. Spend some time training with Baller to learn skills in offense, defense, jamming, and strategy.

SCHEDULE:
Check-In: 9:30am – 10:00am
Clinic- 10:00am – 2:00pm

*This clinic is open to all skaters over the age of 18 who are contact-cleared.

*For our coated wood floor surface, we recommend harder wheels (93a-97a).

*On-skates participants must have their own skates and safety gear (mouthguard, helmet, elbow/wrist/knee pads). You will be required to sign waivers to be able to participate. Insurance is strongly recommended for this event, though not required. In addition to primary insurance, we recommend coverage through WFTDA, MRDA, RSC, CRDi, UKRDA, USARS, and FLD.

Rates:
Day Pass (Skater): $48
Day Pass (Observer): $5

*Your spot will not be reserved until payment is received. Once they are filled, we will begin building a waitlist. All payments are nonrefundable, but the day pass is transferable.

July Beginners Boot Camp

Yellow Rose Derby Girls are hosting a six-week flat track roller derby beginner’s boot camp. This beginner’s roller derby boot camp is a fun way to get in shape, make new friends, and hone your skating skills to play or referee the sport of roller derby!

Whether you’ve never touched a pair of skates, or you already know your way around the rink, we can train you! No experience necessary.

This boot camp is open to aspiring women roller derby skaters AND men and women who wish to develop their skills to become roller derby referees.

When: Monday’s July 11th – August 15th, 2022 (6 weeks)

Where: 12950 Sugar Ridge Blvd Stafford, TX 77477

Cost: $60 non-refundable (paid in cash on July 11th or via zelle to treasurer@yellowrosederbygirls.com)

Details: 18+ in order to attend.

Loaner Gear will be available, except mouth guards. All boot campers will need to supply their own mouth guard. Gear Needed: Helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards, skates.
